IN-STORE & ONLINE RETURN POLICY
In-Store Returns
Please note that we updated our return policy as of February 1, 2024. Customers now have 7 days from purchasing their item to return it for a full refund to the original payment method. After the 7 days expire and up to 30 days from the purchase date, we can either exchange your item or offer store credit.
After 30 days have passed, we unfortunately cannot accept your return and appreciate your understanding.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase via text or email.
Items on sale, jewelry, and baby apparel and items are FINAL SALE and are not eligible for return or exchange.
Online Orders
We will happily accept online returns or exchanges on full price, unworn, unwashed, unaltered merchandise with tags postmarked for return within 10 days of delivery.
Please note that we do not offer free returns.
To be eligible for a return, please email us at hello@batikchicago.com BEFORE sending your order back to us. As, a small business this helps us manage our inventory. After reaching out, kindly ship your order back to us at 3746 N Southport Ave, Chicago, IL 60613.
You will receive an email from us once we have received your return in-store and processed the refund or exchange.
Local Pick-Up
We love that we can offer our Chicago shoppers an in-store pick-up option! Please note that this is only available during store hours Wednesday-Sunday.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / Non-returnable Items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as custom products (special orders or monogrammed items), and gift cards. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Why did you join Batik?
I love everything the store stands for & Katie has done an incredible job creating a beautiful space that inspires women to elevate their wardrobe and evolve their personal style! I love the aesthetic and I personally resonate with aspiring for my whole life to be blue and white- my wedding colors were blue and white in June! I love the Southern touch to the store and joke with my friends that I was meant to be born in the South. (From Ohio). I’ve always loved fashion & working in retail has allowed me the space to help women feel their best & most confident. Clothes are so much more than just what you wear and I love nothing more than making a connection with a customer and knowing they are leaving feeling their best & adding beautiful, quality pieces to their wardrobe.
How would you describe your style?
Classic, modest & timeless are what I strive for when I’m buying wardrobe staples. I love to have fun with color and am so excited to be working in a space with so many inspiring colors & patterns and can’t wait to see how that transfers over to my personal style and inspires me to dress!
I love pink, bows & floral but can’t resist an all black look come Fall & Winter. I try to balance all sides of my style with the weather & my mood and most importantly try to wear things I feel the most confident in. My style is forever changing and another reason I love working in retail! I’m constantly inspired by new items, customers & the store itself!

Why did you join Batik?
I joined Batik because I love that it's a small woman-owned and run store that carries great quality pieces to spice up anyone's wardrobe with fun colors and patterns.
How would you describe your style?
I would say that my personal style is pretty classic with a bit of feminine edge. I love stripes, sparkles, and dresses.

I like Olivia James the Label with their floral prints, I also like Walker & Wade and Milly for their fun dresses.

I was fortunate to work with Katie when she was at the University of Chicago and I’m looking forward to working with her again, and supporting a local, woman-owned, small business.
How would you describe your style?
As someone who is either at the gym or outside with my dogs or working from home, athleisure wear is my go to style.

As a dog mom, I love the Foggy Dog. I also really enjoy the earrings by Asha and the cute greetings card by SprinkArt Co!

I joined Batik because of it's amazing overall environment, whether that be how welcoming it is or how beautiful the clothes and store is, along with the sense of community I’ve already felt within it!
How would you describe your style?
My style is definitely more coastal, and minimalist! I try to find super cool unique pieces to spice up my wardrobe which Batik has quite a bit of, paired with good timeless basics, of course.
