We strive to offer you the best in home and fashion, and hope that you're 100% satisfied with your purchase from Batik!

IN-STORE & ONLINE RETURN POLICY

In-Store Returns
Customers have 10 days from purchasing their item to return it for a full refund to the original payment method. After the 10 days expire, we can exchange your item for store credit in the form of a gift card for the same amount. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Online Orders
All online orders are processed Tuesday-Saturday and typically ship out within one business day. If the order is placed after 12:00pm CST on Saturday, there is a possibility your order will not be fulfilled until that following Tuesday. Please be advised of this policy especially when choosing local delivery.

We will happily accept online returns or exchanges on full price, unworn, unwashed, unaltered merchandise with tags within 10 days of receipt of your order. Please take into account that merchandise must be received back in the store within that window for a full refund.

All Sale merchandise is FINAL SALE and not eligible for return or exchange.

To start a return, kindly ship your order back to us at 3746 N Southport Ave, Chicago, IL 60613. Please note that we do not offer free returns. Before sending your order back to us, please email us at hello@batikchicago.com so we can prepare for your return!

Local Pick-Up
We love that we can offer our Chicago shoppers an in-store pick-up option! Please not that this is only available during store hours Wednesday-Sunday.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / Non-returnable Items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as custom products (special orders or monogrammed items) and gift cards. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Please be advised that all sale merchandise is FINAL SALE and not eligible for return or exchange.

Exchanges
To make an exchange, please bring your item to the store within 10 days of purchase, and one of our Retail Stylists can facilitate the exchange. If the new item you wish to exchange for costs less than the original item, you will receive a gift card for the discrepancy. 

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

Why did you join Batik?

When I first met Katie, we immediately bonded over our love of fashion. Personal style and shopping are more than just a hobby for me, it's a passion and I have long been curious about working in the industry. When Katie first told me about her dreams of Batik, I was immediately on board and wanting to be a part of it. I am so grateful to be working alongside her to bring this travel-inspired boutique to life.

Why did you join Batik?

I joined Batik because I love the concept of bringing some color and warmth to a city that can be so dreary for a lot of the year. I think Batik has a very comforting and welcoming feel to it, both in the store and in the products we carry!

How would you descibe your style?

I love to wear a lot of neutral colors and styles, and add a pop of color or a statement piece!

Why did you join Batik?

I joined Batik because I love the timeless, classic and fun clothing items throughout the store as well as the adorable accent pieces. The store interior has an elegance that I admire, I love meeting new people and the store owner, Katie, is so wonderful to work with.

How would you describe your style?

I would describe my style as classic, sophisticated and coastal. You can often find me wearing blue, white, stripes or a variation of all three.

Favorite brands we carry?

A few of my favorite brands carried in the store include Nicola Bathie, Frances Valentine, Victoria Dunn, and I am of course elated to also mention my own personal line that’s in store, Perle Home Fragrance. All of my candles are hand poured with all natural soy wax and are phthalate, paraben and lead free. The pottery vessels are reusable and refillable while the tins are recyclable. A perfect gift idea for anyone on your list!

Why did you join Batik?

I was fortunate to work with Katie when she was at the University of Chicago and I’m looking forward to working with her again, and supporting a local, woman-owned, small business.

How would you describe your style?

As someone who is either at the gym or outside with my dogs or working from home, athleisure wear is my go to style.

I joined Batik because of it's amazing overall environment, whether that be how welcoming it is or how beautiful the clothes and store is, along with the sense of community I’ve already felt within it!

How would you describe your style?

My style is definitely more coastal, and minimalist! I try to find super cool unique pieces to spice up my wardrobe which Batik has quite a bit of, paired with good timeless basics, of course.

When the owner Katie reached out to me and let me know that we worked at the same boutique in Minnesota, just at different times, I knew I wanted to be a part of Batik. We really bonded over being close with the manager, Leah as well as loving the small business environment.
